The new Flock sucks

I was going to post this in the last post, but it needs it's own topic. I used Flock .7 cardinal whatever for the first time for that last post, and it's sucks. I hate the blog editor being in a new window, I liked it in in a tab. I hate the new photo uploader, most because it doesn't have a scrollbar. Which, granted, is really just an issue for poor fucks like me stuck with 600×480, but dammit, we exist! Hitting *tab* *enter* *tab* *enter* blindly until it finally uploads (not knowing what kind of settings you're changing in the process) just sucks ass.

Most of all though, I hate that this was a forced update piped to me without even asking. Now I don't even have the option of holding on to the old version, I'm stuck with this shit.

Fuck you, Flock. I'm going back to Firefox.

Another shitty thing I noticed? The separate window that that Flock opens for blog posting doesn't load your saved blog into a tab, no, it opens another window. And then when you click on blog again, that's another window. So after a fun blogging session you now have several windows to track down and close instead of neatly managing them in tabs.

Flock .5 was great. I loved it. But Flock .7 just sucks ass.

Fuck Flock.

isn’t here. It sucks.

This is what my current monitor looks like. I’m using a 12in CRT because my 15in LCD blow up. It was a great excuse to buy a 20in widescreen, but alas, FedEx sucks and can’t bother to deliver when we told them that someone would be here. We keep calling them and telling them that there’s someone here after 2pm, please deliever then. And they say “yes yes”. And then show up at 9am. Fucktards.

Frontpage totally sucks.

At my new job, I’ve inherited the position of webmaster. Unfortunetly, my predecessor used Frontpage to make & upload the site, and now I’m stuck using it. Given that I’m a Linux geek who enjoys coding html by hand, I knew that I’ld have problems with it, but I gave it a shot. Now I’m going to shoot it.

So I was editing the site, trying to make it more navigatible with non-IE browsers and more html standards compliant, which Frontpage decidedly doesn’t like to do. Well, somehow when it was uploading, Frontpage decided to cut off the top halves of the pages, I have no fucking idea why. Now our company webpage looks like shit, and the owner is call to call me up anytime now demanding to know why. He questioned me when I pulled the email addresses of the people who no longer work for the company off the website, he’s going to shit a brick when he sees it now.

So I thought, ok, I’ll just pull up the backup of the website, and everything will be back to the way it was. No dice. Frontpage mangles up the backups just as bad. Yes, not only does Frontpage have issues with my coding, but now it won’t even read pages it wrote itself. Piece of shit. I hate Microsoft.
